Ellen O’Connor (b.1996) is an Irish artist who graduated from IADT’s BA in Visual Art Practice in Dublin in 2018. She is currently based between Montreal, Canada and Dublin, Ireland.
Moving image, writing and collaborative projects form the crux of her practice. Her works are concerned with enacting documentary processes across factual and fictitious narratives, reflecting her interest in hybrid storytelling, narration, duality, and rehearsals. Her collaborative practice is currently steeped in connective tools, service oriented projects and the blend of formality and exchange that emerges within collective work. In 2022, she founded screen service, a service oriented artist collective. The collective acts as an agent for emergent experimental media arts practices. She currently runs this collective with her collaborator, artist Bronagh Gallagher.
