Ellen’s practice encompasses moving image, 2D, writing and collaborative curatorial projects. By enacting documentary processes she untangles and juxtaposes her interest in narrative, rehearsal and duality. She is responsive to sites, texts, histories, myths, how we root ourselves and how we narrate fact and fiction.

In 2022, she initiated screen service, a service-oriented artist collective and online platform facilitating experimentation and connectivity for early-career media artists in Ireland. She co-directs the platform. This work is fuelled by her interest in peer-led structures and collaborative media arts. Recent initiatives on the platform include a collaboration service project called The Collision Project, 2023. Ellen is from Co.Louth and currently supported by an Arts Council 2023 Agility Award.
